It's got that old-school "good vs evil" nostalgia. The story seems to flow well so far and I like some of the lil antics that the characters put on.

What you really need to work on is the audio. Different people are recording the voices, so you have to match up the volume levels and maintain a decent quality level as well. And don't forget the audio clipping; it takes away from the indulgence.

And you're right. Detroit is truly a shithole.

"Bugs/Needs work"

There are both interface bugs and gameplay issues:

Interface - mostly "text format" appearing at numerous sections and missing info like price differences in the Travel tab.

Gameplay - The game expects you to be ready to fight the 'tanks' by your second travel. With 5k to start, there isn't much to work with. I managed to net about 1k in profit between buying armor and trading. I was still 3 times weaker than my opponent. My health wouldn't get healed when stopping in towns either.

As far as originality, the difference between this and Tradewinds is the lack of a plot and travelling the land instead of the sea.

Overall, the game seems to have been released prematurely and at this point, unworthy of a 4+ score.

Sure it was short, but the style is not as easy as it seems. The style relies on imagery, colors and shots that are easily recognized by the mind and hence remembered.
Anyways, I'd like to see "Echoes" next. [Also by PF].

The "opaque brown" theme was perfect, like the games'. The overall style flowed very well with the cutscenes and whatnot.
Good voice acting, but I wanted them to have an English accent. Also add a preloader.

The 'matches' part was my favorite. The "pouring cups" annoy me more though. That reminds me... I still have Curious Village to finish :)

The syncing was pretty good for someone "new to flash."
I was waiting for the judge, so when he came in, I lol'd.

This was really good. However, 2 things you need to work on:
1. Scale it down, so the pixels don't look out of place.
2. Put more material in the movies. Keep the quality, but it does need some quantity.
